vssc091N - Biggest trip yet
South sea cargo departed from Port Vila at 2:07pm, Wednesday the 16th of august with a big work load ahead. The first destination was Malekula where several containers needed to be delivered – including 2 LCL loads. Among the containers there were also 2 trucks and a 7 meter boat to be delivered, as well as the popular frozen food supplies transported via the frozen goods truck!
Before departing Malekula, the crew needed to load more containers and ISOs to bring to Santo.
While the team were busy out on the islands carrying out operations, the staff back in Vila were excited to announce a sponsorship with VBTC, supporting the Rugby World Cup broadcast on local television station, VBTC.
Back on the islands, the crew had reached Santo and had begun repositioning containers to their new locations. All 3 south sea cargo trucks were on the road delivering containers over to East Santo to a regular customer, the MAP team.
The Santo operation kept the crew busy with all the movement. Before departing the crew still needed to load more containers that would be taken back to Malekula with another LCL container, 7 Full containers and several water tanks. Space was tight when unloading as Vanuatu Ferry and some other vessels were also docked at Litslits wharf that morning. However the team overcame the challenge and delivered the assets safely. Another busy day the team were finally ready to depart and return to Port Vila while the sun was shining.
The team received a warm welcome after a successful large operation carried out over 10 days.
